She listens to your concerns and tailors her services to meet your specific needs. From the initial consultation onward, Arlene gives you a full understanding of the applicable law and the possible outcomes of your case and guides you through the creative dispute resolution process ― to help you make the best and most informed decisions.
Arlene Kostant is a State Bar Certified Specialist in Family Law. She has earned the respect of both clients and peers in California’s legal community, achieving an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® — a distinction signifying particularly outstanding legal work, professionalism and ethical standards. Dedicated to finding legal solutions that provide a respectful, fair, affordable and collaborative experience for her clients, Arlene Kostant assists you in the following areas:
- Family law ― Arlene helps clients reaching out-of-court solutions in the following areas: dissolution of a marriage, dissolution of a domestic partnership, premarital agreements, domestic partnership agreements, parenting agreements, financial agreements, support modifications and other family law matters.
- Mediation ― This is an informal, voluntary and non-binding process. Arlene acts as mediator, facilitating negotiations between the disputing parties and attempting to help them find a mutually acceptable solution to family law problems or other dispute.
- Collaborative practice ― When parties decide to use collaborative practice, they pledge to not go to court, agree to an honest exchange of information, strive for a solution to their family law matter that takes into account their highest priorities, and acknowledge that their collaborative attorneys cannot represent them in any adversarial proceedings. If you can resolve your matter in this way, you avoid the emotional angst and the court costs associated with litigation.
